Peter Peryer and Anne Noble prints from the Space contemporary
art gallery archives (1982): Space gallery was started
by a group of four design conscious art enthusiasts (Hilary
and Bryan Skinner, Michael Cox and Clare Dutton), and was an
inner city haven above traffic-choked Elliot St.
When Hilary
and Bryan discovered images by local photographers
Peter Peryer and Wanganui chronicler Anne Noble, their
attention was captured and a solo exhitbition was arranged
for each artist.
The prints were produced at the same time, and
were sold through the gallery during the exhibitions. These
were a constant catalogue item, however, when the gallery
closed its doors they were stored and have now resurfaced
25 years on.
